Rolling XP Firewire Drivers Back to SP1

Post by Bill Phillips »

:?: I've added a Focusrite Saffire firewire interface in parallel with my MOTU 828 mkII. It's not working. I won't go into details. My understanding is that the problem stems from what SP2 does to firewire.

I tried the KB885222 and KB904412 hot fixes from Microsoft. KB885222 failed. KB904412 worked; but didn't solve the problem.

MOTU Tech Support sent me a zip file, suggested that I manually install the SP1 firewire drivers and sent me here for instructions. I've searched the site and scanned through the MOTU Hardware topics without luck.

Can someone point me to instructions on doing the firewire driver roll back to SP1?

Thanks. :(

The info also published here earlier is on the RME website. Shame on Motu...

Thanks, techland. I scanned the page and it looks like what I'm looking for. I'll try it tonight.
