Hey Paul-- yours is the lone voice crying in the wilderness!! Sorry no one jumped in for you... having no MIDI is no fun, to say the least.

Okay. There are a lot of things to look at and to consider in the way of troubleshooting here.

Early questions:

1. Have you updated anything else besides your Midiman drivers?

2. When you updated your Midiman drivers, did you try to rescan or rebuild your Audio-MIDI setup?

3. Is there a way to reset your MIDI interface to factory default?

4. Shut down the computer. Try unplugging all USB cables. Then plug in only your computer keyboard, mouse, and your USB interface (disconnect your other MIDI devices from it).

Turn on your computer again and try first to get the MIDI interface online. You can use the mouse to test the device in Audio-MIDI. Once the device is online, start plugging in your MIDI devices on at a time and add them to your Audio-MIDI setup window. Use the mouse to test each device.

In DP, make sure that you check your MIDI Filters-- for now, turn everything on. You can disable certain MIDI features later. You may also need to double check your DP Preferences Menu to make sure that MIDI Patch Thru is active.

5. This is VERY IMPORTANT-- sometimes we inadvertently hit a key command without really trying which may give the appearance of suddenly deactivating some feature--
-- double check that your MIDI ins and outs are properly routed in DP's respective MIDI track columns.

6. It may be necessary to dump and reinstall all MIDI related drivers and files. Double check with M-Audio Support (perhaps by phone) that you in fact have the right driver. Midiman is a name that is no longer used. In some cases, it may be necessary to employ an older driver rather than a new one.

-- also make sure that your driver is in the proper location:
Mac HD> Library> Audio> MIDI Drivers>>>>

examples:
"M-Audio USB Support.plugin"
"Motu MIDI Driver.plugin"
--- the word MIDI or USB may or may not appear in the file name.

M-Audio has only days ago released 10.4.7 support for some devices. 10.4.8 support will be slow to come.

7. If the interface is behaving properly in Audio-MIDI, consider trashing your DP Preferences.

Not 100% sure about your setup, but the first place to start is to shut everything down, unplug and plug back in.

You may need to list more about your setup:

OS version
MIDI Driver version
DAW version
CPU version
6,1 MacPro, 96GB RAM, macOS Monterey 12.7.6, DP 11.33
