Which is most recommended and stable at this point? I'm currently running 10.3.8 and DP 4.12. The usage would be to trigger backing tracks for a live band, and to send a click track to the drummer, maybe eventually getting into some lighting control. I also use my Korg Trinity to play B3 sounds, Pads, and Piano. I may try a softsynth in the future if there is one that will do all those without breaking the bank. So which DP/OS combo seems to best fit my situation with my current power under the hood? (1.5 Ghz, 2 GB RAM, 80 GB HDD)
Thanks,
David

Hi SuperDave,
I have been using DP 4.61 and OS 10.4.x for several tours without incident. I put "x" at the end of the OS number because I've used several of them from 10.4.3 up to 10.4.7. I haven't tried 10.4.8 yet.
Prior to this, I was ultra paranoid about using DP live with any version that was too new. Up until mid-2005, I kept my G4 667 Powerbook running only OS 9.2.2 (no OSX installed at all!) and DP ... are you ready ... 3.61. Total dinosaur setup. But it was rock solid.
After having a lot of success with DP 4.5 in the studio, I took the plunge and put it on a new Powerbook in the fall of 2005, then upgraded to 4.61 when that became available. Now one year later, I can report only success with the system. I should upgrade the HD in my Powerbook to a 7200 RPM drive, but even with the stock drive it still works fine with a few audio and MIDI tracks and minimal plug-ins.
Best regards,
Erik
