Motu UltraLite and Ableton!

Post by tm21 »

Hello!

Im new in the professional sound interface market so forgive me!
I dont know what to do to work it right! I searched in the manual but nothing!
So here it is! I have a roland DS-5 with s/pdif out and a subwoofer with the bigger jack! So where i need to configure the motu to send the signal out to them?
It only works right now with iTunes but only the monitors if I set Motu Audio Setup the default stereo output to s/pdif 1-2!
PLEASE HELP!

Thanks

Hi!
You have to connect analog outs 1-2 to your subwoofer's inputs and your monitors to the subwoofer's (analog) outputs. That's the way most subwoofers work: keeps the lowest frequencies (cutoff is usually adjustable) and sends the rest of the spectrum to the monitors. Then you can control the overall level with the ultralite volume knob.

My subwoofer has no s/pdif outputs! I can live without it! But my main concern why I have no sound from Ableton??? What need to set?? It actually showes the LR meter but where need to set to send to my spdif out! In ableton audio device setup I set Motu Ultralite (12 In , 14 Out)...

Check the output settings in your audio pref page, you can enable any output there (only main out is enabled by default)
