Oh... by the way... I just got to share... I'm getting a companion ML to go with my V... I'm getting a good deal, however... it's gonna sting and I'm gonna have to sell my Gibson double neck to swing this... but my... she takes my breath away... and she's all mine soon... very soon. Can epiphone's be tweaked to somewhat resemble a gibson by a tech who knows what they are doing and a pick up upgrade? Or should I just buy a gibson? Ps i love the beautiful wood in Deans, they are very handsome instruments.

4) Do you need anything special to work with protools project? I realize that you can't open protools files directly, but do I need any special hardware to open AAF files of protools decent?

I've never done it, but DP support OMF import. I believe you just export the PT project in OMF and suck it into DP.
Are you kidding me? I've tried this a number of times and never had any luck! Did I miss something? Can we now open ProTools files successfully?

I honestly don't know. I'm unfamiliar with the Epiphones... but usually if you get a tech to set it up and perhaps dress the frets it can play/sound decent.

Wow. Somebody actually saw that thread? It sat there for 4 days and got no replies, so I came here. How did this thread get so big without really saying anything useful to my query?

nickmorgan19457 wrote:Anybody know where I can find one? I've looked all over the MOTU site and can't find it. I've been looking for the right DAW for me, and I've narrowed it down to DP or Logic. I want to look over the manuals for both to see which one looks better to me. DP is my first choice at the moment and I doubt it will change, but I'd like to check them both out.

Does anybody know where I can find a PDF manual for DP 4.6 or higher?

There is no PDF manual for DP

There's near 70 posts now and only maybe 8 were actually answers to my questions. I'm going to say half are anti-pirate rants, a quarter are pros/cons of PDF manual posts, and the rest have almost nothing to do with DP at all. I think I'll do the "if I don't like it, return it" thing now. See ya. Thanks for your help.

You didn't ask questions, you asked one single question, and it has been answered at least 8 times apparently. This forum not only offers support for DP, but also supports MOTU as the company by not encouraging piracy. MOTU doesn't give any demo version, so as an honest user, you're supposed to buy DP, and you get your 1000 pages manual, it's as simple as that.

Nick, I've been batting for you 'till now.
The tone of this post suddenly breaks your somewhat impeccable mould.
Were you not "warned" a debate would ensue?
Monkey Man warned Nick back on page 1 of the inevitable debate when he wrote:PS: Nickmorgan19457, don't feel bad if you're guilt-free.
Your question has some seriously funny history, so brace yourself...
Personally, if I'd started the thread I'd be stoked at all the discussion and humour it has spawned.
Having seen a few of these situations play themselves out, it would seem to me that you're in danger of turning the 'Corner (sorry) towards looking like you already have a copy of DP.
Specifically, one with the pitch-shift feature.

Please tell me I'm wrong.
Pretty-please?
