traveler spdif

Post by tricky »

hi there i have just recently managed to record using spdif on my traveler, but ive noticed that my mic and line inputs no longer work, does this mean that when i use spdif it disables the mic and line inputs automaticly or is it a problem somewhere i would have thought that you could use all inputs at the same time. any help would be great thanks

Hi!
Using spdif should not disable any analog input. Something's going wrong somewhere... what's your setup, just in case?

hi there there thanks for your reply, not quite sure how i done it but it all seems to be working now, i only wanted to use spdif because all my line inputs are being used. ive just been informed that MOTU are releasing a new gadget called PRE 8 i think, basicly its a rack unit offering another 8 inputs which can be connected via the light pipe or firewire . and its going to be released in october for under £500.00. sounds just the ticket for me, i just hope its not £499.99. thanks again
