Hi folks,

really dumb question #324

How do I synch the audio clock in Logic to my 828s ?

I have my first 828 set as the clock master for the second and was running an octopre via ADAT light pipe synched to the first 828 via the external BNC word clock.

That said I was still getting artifacts that sounded like clock noise.

Some friends have told me that I am hearing ADAT noise that happens on account of using cheap light-pipe cables (Im using Hosa ones) however as I have now switched to using an analogue connection between the 828 and the octopre Im rather hoping I have solved the problem...however.. Id rather be safe than have to remove more clock noise form future recordings !

I have just synched both 828s to the Mac Internal Clock and unless I can use the BNC out on the first MOTU to channel the synck from the Mac up to the octopre externally, the whole ADAT thing will just have to wait !

Would this work ?
