Ronnie it sounds like you have a default patch enabled.
Read this:
Choosing a default patch (sound)

The default patch is the sound that the track always begins with. It is remembered when you save the Digital Performer project so that the next time you open the project and press play, the default patch is called up from the synthesizer before playback begins so that the track will play with the correct sound. To select a default patch for a track, choose it from the default patch column.
Hope this helps

sndshe
i looked for that and i t is not there
the song im working on has no autiomation on it what so ever'
what im trying to say is in the main window when i try to call another patch it keeps going back to the piano secition
there i can pick any piano i wont it just will not let me go to the sub folders that have bass sounds or strings
stuff like that. i even staterd a new prog. and it atcks the same way
there also i dont know what to do?
try it with a sound mod. with MIDI and see if it works for you
with 2.5 it worked just fine

If you can get by without MIDI "Event Chasing", try turning that off.

All my mods are working fine, including patche selections. Here's another idea. Go to your "audio MIDI setup" highlite and delete the SC-88 from the list, then create a new one. Might reset the patch listings.
Hope this works out for you. I'll think of some other ideas if this one doesn't work.

Hey Danny,

Where do you go to find MIDI "event chasing" option. I've been looking for that.

thanks,
