Chicago Symphony Orchestra Gig

Post by MIDI Life Crisis »

I am pleased to announce that the Chicago Symphony Orchestra will be performing several of my scores for silent films this October.

Easy Street (from the Chaplin Mutuals) is being revised a bit from the
orchestrations I did for the 96 Olympics. I will be piano soloist in that work with the CSO.

One Week is getting a new score by me that the main CSO will premiere
on Oct. 27 at Orchestra Hall.

The Chicago Symphony Youth Orchestra will also be performing my new
score for Keaton's The Haunted House that week.

Only one work (One Week) was composed in DP and ported to Finale. Easy St. was composed on an Atari in 1988 and later ported to DP for the re-release on DVD.

Haunted House was composed entirely in Finale, but DP was used for movie playback and VI's (machFive and one Garritan patch).

Any of you guys/gals from Chicago, please come see & hear the premieres and say hi.

Thanks.

I've seen the CSO at Orchestra Hall more times than I could possibly remember. I've never walked away disappointed. Just my experience.

MLC, I wish you the best. I may be seeing a couple of neurologists in Chicago during that time so I just might be able to give you a quick hello in person.

Don't worry; I haven't any visible horns or fangs. Well, that's what I'm told, anyway.

THis thread is a year old. I won't be there this season. But thanks. They were fantastic!

Oh. I just saw the month and day.

I'll try and schedule a few more neurologists.
