Oddities you may already have experienced

Post by Jaime Lunn »

OK so first up I am still having periodic crashes on my Mac Mini Dual Core 1GB.
I have noticed that when closing effects windows with it running in pre-render then i lose the entire timing wit the the rest of the sequence and have to hit stop and restart.

I have also found that an existing sequence I had been working on is now inexplicably spiking madly and grinding to a halt in two particular areas of the sequence. When the number of tracks drops from about 8 to 4 and you would think that this would be less cpu hit (but I have just had a thought that as these tracks are stems DP is trying to pre-render the silence causing massive cpu spikes and making it grind to a halt) but then I have had similar results in real time mode??!! Then I flushed the undo history and this caused DP to crash I did it again same result did it again and saved before touching and it stayed open.

I moved all of the stems to a new sequence and it plays fine!! Corrupt files squiffy code over processing aaaahhhhhhhhh!!!!

I don't know and I don't have bleedin time to run through every test on this f-in program! I just want the old DP back that enables me to edit super douper fast and create nice sequences±!!

I am off for dinner
