I'll try to keep this simple. First here's my setup:
G4 Powerbook 1.3 gHz w/768 meg of RAM running on AC
Traveler running on bus power
Bias Peak LE Software
I was doing a simple 2-mic recording thru the Traveler to Peak LE at 44.1/16bit and every 9:40, pretty much to the second, the recording would start to crackle and then build to full metallic-sounding distortion that would reach a peak (no pun intended) and eventually fade out as gradually as it started. The distorion episodes lasted just under two minutes...again, consistent in their duration. The 9:40 of clean audio between the distortion episodes was perfectly fine with no artifacts.
This is the first time I had used this particular setup so I have nothing to compare it to.
Any ideas?
Many thanks.

Traveler + Peak LE = Noise every nine minutes...why?

I suspect the recording sample rate is not getting set properly. What version of Peak LE are you using?
Best wishes-
