Is it possible to get true mono output routing from DP?
I have a Mackie 24 8 bus and ofcourse the pan knobs pan the sound of a track from left to right or vice versa across my speakers. Is this possible from DP or are the pan knobs within DP only used for distinguishing between outputs?

No, what I mean is this, if I have a mono drum coming from a drum machine into channel # 1 on the Mackie the pan knob will move the drum between the left and right speakers, this is great. My issue is this, so far in Digital Performer (DP), if I record a mono drum and play it back, since DP's outputs are paired (1-2, 3-4, etc) the pan on DP's mixer isn't actually panning, it's moving the sound between the 2 outputs. Is there a way that the pan in DP's mixer actually perfoms panning like the Mackie across the left and right speakers instead of across the sterro output pairs. I'm trying to do mixes downs ITB and OTB for a comparisons. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Um, huh?
Output=speaker in the scenario you describe. After all, the mixer doesn't have 'speakers', it has output channels, just like DP. And the pan knob on the channel on the mixer selects how much signal goes to each output. Just like in DP. Terence is correct, it's the same thing and it's already working.
