You can drag and drop samples from the desktop into a position in a Mach5 preset, but make sure you DE-select(unhighlight) the sample from the desktop afterwards. If you don't, Mach 5 will be unresponsive.

**instant one shot**

If you want to make an entire program of samples play one shot, but don't want to have to change each sample's playback setting, select "edit all" and increase the release time on the amp envelope.

If you'd like to see what sample you're playing turn on "MIDI Select" (upper left next to the UVIExtract button)
