Have you tried dragging and dropping? Make sure your sample rate is the same. Consult the manual (v4.5 and up to v5) page 107.

Listing your system and OS will help everyone else get a handle on your problem.

If you still have SX3 you could also re-save the project as an OMF file. The only catch is that you can't have any stereo tracks, or DP won't import them, so you have to split them out to dual mono tracks.

the omf isn't an issue really - just pan the 2 sides L and r - then group them hardly any difference - only stretching and muting as far as editing is concerened

when you say nothing happens - spinning beach ball?

Try using "import soundbite" from the soundbite window mini-menu, instead of "import" from the main file menu.

Yeah, but you have to make sure that you don't have any stereo tracks when you export it from Cubase or else when you try to import it into DP it just gives you an error message and doesn't import anything.

I just mentioned it because i finally worked it out after a lot of trial and error when I was trying to get a project from Cubase to DP.

But, yeah, you can always just drag the audio files onto the timeline in DP. Hopefully they'll even still have their time-stamp.
