These two don't seem to get along, any suggestions?
Thanks.

Re: Mach5 & mbox2?
Mach5 works excellently in Pro Tools for me. I'm on PC but I've used PTLE 6.8.1 (the MBox 2 special version) and now v7.wherever-we're-up-to. No difference in stability.KarlSutton wrote:These two don't seem to get along, any suggestions?

Give us a bit more info - for a start, are you using M5 in Tools or Performer?

This is all about my G4 so it's not a MacIntel issue.
I was running Mach Five v1 just fine in ProTools 6.9.2 on Jaguar, then Tiger made it necessary to go to ProTools 7.1. Mach Five v1 was still playing the tracks it was plugged into and then when I tried to change the sample it freaked out. So I checked and noticed I needed 1.2.3 for Tiger.
It actually worked for about 10 seconds just fine and then it started crashing ProTools. PT at this point hangs up when it tries to load a track that has Mach Five as a plug-in, never gets past it and crashes. It has even caused several kernel panics - which never happens to me. I also cannot start a new file, create one new track and load Mach Five as the plug-in. It will crash PT.
ProTools is running superbly other than this.
I have uninstalled Mach Five, even searching for every instance of the name in Spotlight and deleting the file (since the uninstaller does not completely do it's job), reinstalled it and no go.
I have also reinstalled ProTools and then Mach Five.
I'm working with MOTU tech support right now and so far, no luck. To be fair, it took them a while to get back to me but now they are very nice and are trying hard to help me.
Any insight into this would be immensely appreciated. I really like the sampler and would love to use it again.
peace
