FWIW, my tower is still 10.4.6, but I put 10.4.7 on my PB G4 17" 1.5Ghz. I haven't run any serious audio on it yet, but I noticed that it's running a little slower-- feels a tad more sluggish to me.

DP5 arrives tomorrow (or is supposed to), so I'll install it on both machines with their respective OS's to see which behaves itself.

Quicktime is NOT updated with the 10.4.7 update. You must update seperately.

But the new OS is DEFINTELY snappier... (Timeline beat me to it!)

Same here!

Especially starting and quitting of applications and switching between them
is noticably faster on my iBook 1.2 GHz.
I started to believe it was my Book simply being too slow on the RAM/HD-side
to be really working, but nope, Apple just managed to save up the performance
gains for 10.4.7...

My machine seems to run about the same. (G4 dual 800) I don't notice any differences at all.

Good Luck, Frodo, with DP 5. I know you've been wishing, watching and waiting for the right time to upgrade. Have fun!
