I got a reply from MOTU telling me that they don't plan (for now) on making the RTAS accessible in aux or master channels to match the DAE in PT7. This doesn't mean that won't, but it does mean that they didn't even realise that it's really important that they follow DAE totally, and not half baked.
I have submitted a request to their suggestion email and encourage all of you who are using DP with DAE to do the same, that is unless you just don't care that we can't get any RTAS other than on the track channel.
Without this feature, DP is not totally compatible with DAE and PT7.
MOTU has no plans to bring DP5 to full RTAS
