What happened?

Post by bug67 »

I have my ReMOTE 25 MIDI Controler plugged into my G5s USB port. Before I upgraded to DP 5, this configuration worked flawlessly. I could control my soft sampler (Mach 5) just fine. Now, however, It appears as if I'm not getting any sort of MIDI signal to Mach V or any of the DP 5s SIs. I remember in DP 4, when a MIDI signal was being sent, an indicator would come on on whatever SIs GUI I was looking at. No such indication now. I haven't changed anything in DP 5s prefs that I am aware of. I just started using it. I did check to ensure all the MIDI controllers drivers were up to date. Everything in AMS appears normal as well.

I mostly do straight audio so, this isn't a huge deal at the moment. I do have one project however that has some supplimental strings I recorded via MIDI back in DP 4 that I would like to re do. I don't particularly want to use Mach Vs GUI to hunt and peck. I need my key board back. Any suggestions?

You have to assign a audio out put on the track the VI is on and then you can select it with a MIDI track and it should play. Perhaps this is what you need to do.

Thanks for answering. Yeah, I got everything set up correctly to record and playback/monitor MIDI. It's acting like it's not receiving a signal at all from the controller. Weird 'cause the controller works fine with my other sequencer (GarageBand) :? And, before I upgraded to DP 5, it worked perfectly there too.
