MSI is up for a TEC award this year (Mix Foundation)
MOTU Symphonic Instrument has been nominated for the annual TEC awards this year. Those are the awards handed out by the Mix Foundation, which is affiliated with Mix Magazine.

Well, let's wait and see if they actually get it. The shame about MSI is that it's ALMOST there. Fix the ranges, and it would be a pro instrument. Fix the clarinet and a few other things, and it would be an exceptional pro instrument. Record the strings with different ambience and... oh, never mind. I guess then we'd be talking about $1500 or more. Is there an award for best cheap set of instruments?

Well there goes any credibility for TEC awards, as far as I'm concerned.
SI is in my opinion a pile of rubbish.
Who knows maybe MOTU bought the nomination, it certainly doesn't merit one.
Maybe I can samle a fart and get a TEC award nomination for that!
