Would you give me suggestion on Control Surfaces?

Post by mountain »

I am struggling to buy a Control Surfaces for I used DP nearly 2 years, but all the time I used my Mouse and my Triton.
However, i want to make it more easily on fingertip mixing, I always need to make automation on the track, effect, and the overall
I am not familiar with Control Surfaces, would you give me some recommendations?

1) Mackie Control + 16 Expander
2) Mackie HUI
3) Tascam US-2400 (i dunno can this device do automation)
4) Radikal Technologies SAC2.2
5) Tascam DM-3200
6) Mackie DigitalXBus
7) M-Audio Project-Mix
8) Any other Control Surfaces Choice

if possible, pls give me some recommendations.

I use a tascam us2400 and it is a great piece of kit.
The only stupid question is the one you are too scared to ask....

i use a behringer BCF2000 and a wacom tablet... much easier to do things with the pen since i'm a leftie...

recently acquired a shuttlepro... but it's mainly for FCP edits... works with DP too so it's a plus again...

seems like i'm a control freak... haha!

i used the MCU+XT in DP but it kinda sucks in there, like limping along.... then i switched to Nuendo and found out how nice the controller REALLY works. Motu needs to get on the driver for the Mackie in a bad way.
dual gHz, OSX 10.3.9, DP 4.6, PSP plugs [then a load of nice hardware]
