Open up the AudioMidi .app and make sure your devices are in there and recognised by Core Audio.

…string theory says that all subatomic particles of the universe are nothing but musical notes. A, B-flat, C-sharp, correspond to electrons, neutrinos, quarks, and what have you. Therefore, physics is nothing but the laws of harmony of these strings. Chemistry is nothing but the melodies we can play on these strings. The universe is a symphony of strings and the mind of God… it is cosmic music resonating through 11 dimensional hyperspace.

Ok....The MOTU itself works. I just cant get it to come through the pc speakers. It might be a problem with cubase. I've been told that is the program to use with my 24i/o. Ever since I installed the 424 it stoped making sound.
I have found I can hear the channel I just recorded through the channel out on the MOTU. I can also record a part, export it as .wav and that works. But I can't get cuebase to use my onboard sound. I'm sure it's a simple fix, however I have pushed every button and otherwise on the program but can't get it to work. I'm new at this, so the terminology is kinda greek. What do I do?
