Hi there folks-
I already searched motu's tech docs with no luck. Switching between projects and sometimes between chunks within projects I am frequently getting this:
Digital Performer has encountered an error.
Unknown Exception error reported by PerfError:
vector::insert length error
After this happens, one of my stereo tracks is disabled from playing (it doesn't play and its record light is missing) and can't play until I quit the app and relaunch.
I run in DAE mode, DP 4.61/ OS 10.3.9 / Protools/DAE 6.7 / HD 1 system.
I'd love it if anyone had insight on this. It's not killing me but it's pretty annoying and it used to not happen with this exact setup.
Thanks![/b]
"Unknown Exception" Error--- anyone else?

More Errors
I'm getting them too.
ERROR 1
When I start a new file "003" and try to save it somewhere, I get:
An error occurred while writing to the disk. The file 003 was not saved.
ID=1 Try to save your file on another disk of folder, or with a different name.
I only have one hard disk drive. I have successfully saved on it before. I am having no other problems with my computer. Saving with a different name does not help.
ERROR 2
When I try to open a file I KNOW was saved with DP5, I get:
Digital Performer has encountered an error.
Unknown Exception error reported by PerfError:
vector::at index out of range
I've made no major changes to my system.
My profile:
iMac G5 2.1GHz, OS 10.4.6, 512MB RAM
What kills me is that it worked a few weeks ago, and now DP is basically unusable. I even installed the 5.01 update, and the same thing happens.
Should I delete the Prefs file? If so, where is it?
Any suggestions? I'm bummed.
Neil
