NO AUDIO OUTPUT !!!!
I am attempting to install a 2nd 2408mk3 into my MAC system. I am running Nuendo3 with a G5 Mac. I have both 2408mk3 connected to the PCI-424 but I can not get any output from the 2nd 2408. I have set up the card and it sees all 48 ports. I have Digimax LT's on banks B and C on both units and Bank A set up for Analog.
What am I doing wrong?
Not sure if you've checked already, but Nuendo has a refresh ("reset" actually) in each of the pref. panels for VST inputs & outputs. They're both at the bottom of the Devices menu, in the "device setup". I don't think it will automatically update when the MOTU config changes like that, so it's a good idea to get in there and reset once in a while if you've been changing stuff.
BTW- There's also some weird options where you can turn on/off the available i/o channels, so that they won't even clutter up the VST Connections list, so if you get them in the VST Input/Output list after the reset, make sure you've got them set for "visible" or whatever.

PS- As I'm sure you probably know, you'll also have to map them to actual VST Connections after they show up, in order to use them in your project.
Thanks for the touch. I was not aware of the refresh button, however, I did know I had to map them into the VST connections and make them all visable. I thnk my biggest issue is with the Audible output. If I have the 1st 2408 mk3 connected via firewire to the PCI-424 and the analog outputs of the 1st 2408mk3 to the analog inputs on my Presonus Central Station, does the audio out put from the 2nd 2408mk3 need to be connected to mabey the analog inputs of the 1st 2408 in Bank A or does the audio from the 2nd 2408 come out of the PCI card via Firewire to the 1st 2408 and the out the analo outputs to the Central Controler???
