converting audio files to a different sample rate?

hey all.

i've always done all my work at 24 bit, 44k. At the end of the project i always export as wav files and burn to cd rom to send to dubbing suite, or ftp them. i've always just let them convert them to whatever format they need. my workflow is i mix through a mackie 32 channel desk through a TC Finalizer onto DAT, and then rerecord from DAT back into DP, chop up the tracks and that's that! i know i could record back from DAT at 16 bit, but i like keeping it at 24 bit for as long as possible!

I'm now working on a series where i'll actually have to do some work and deliver the tracks at 16 bit, 48k.

What's the best/easiest way to batch convert, say 20 q's, from 24 bit 44k, to 16 bit 48k???

Here's a batch sample rate converter that's supposed to be pretty good.

However, if you're delivering in 48k then I suggest you seriously consider working in 48k for this project.

working in 48k ain't gonna happen, as i've too much work in other projects that i'll be using snippets of, to import into this.

is there a way of doing this easily in DP, and sonically am I going to lose any quality if I do do it in DP? it's nothing to do with the money - will happily spend it if it's worth it - but for speed and ease of use, would prefer to do it all in the same prog if possible.

anyone??

Hello Doodles ,
I agree with Barbabatch choice from Mr Clifford....If you already got 44k audio and would like the best quality out of it at 48k , this is in my opinion the best tool ....
You could do it in DP but you will loose in the high frequency spectrum .....And that is why it is always better to create the sound at the sampling frequency you intend to do the finish product ....
