Re-analyze AU after failed analysis?

Post by xluve »

How can I ask DP re-analyze a AU previously refused because it did'nt pass the startup test? Once fixed the problem in the Audio Unit (simply battery was'nt authorized with my new user in OS X) I tried to relaunch DP, to change the test log, to remove and re-install battery. nuthin'

Should i re-install DP?
I did'nt found anything in the manual mentioning this procedure.

gosh...

Here's how to do it direct from Motu's web site:
If you are still experiencing problems, you can force DP to examine AU plugins by trashing the "Audio Unit Info Cache" located in your user's Library/Preferences/Digital Performer.

Next time you launch DP it will examine your AU plugins to determine which ones will be stable in DP. If DP passes the AU you are trying to load you should find it as an insert in the mixing board or if it is a soft synth under the Project Menu > Add Track > Add Instrument Track. If your plugin is not passed by DP, report this to MOTU and the maker of the plugin.

A report on which AUs are passed on your system can be found in your User's Documents folder called, "MOTU AU Test Results.txt"

Well I had to do something similar a while ago, probably with a balky NI plugin as well, and someone here pointed this out. So I'm just returning the favor. Here's the URL of the page at MOTU:
