BTD to .AIF/,WAV gone after Tiger and DP Upgrade

Post by spinnaker »

After upgrading to Tiger 10,42 and DP 4.6 I no longer have the options to BTD for AIF or WAV. I reinstalled LAME to enable the MP3 option so now all I can bounce are mp3's and QT.mov.
Before the upgrade I had all options with 10.39 and DP 4.5
Has anyone else had this problem?

yep... me too... exact same problem...... i have no way to export anything except SDII and Quicktime movie..,
which is a bummer as my clients typically expect me to forward .wav and or .aif files....... i e-maild magic dave at motu and he told me to install LAME.frameworks which i have done to no avail...... currently i have to save my 4.6 project as a 4.12 project then quit 4.6 and open 4.12 then i can export .wav or .aif....... big freakin hassel... i am pretty sure it's something i'm missin....just hav'nt found it yet........ i have posted a couple of times re: this issue tho none of the GURU'S have responded....until then i'll use this workaround...

Under '/library/audio/Plug-Ins/MOTU Audio Export' you should find 'Core Audio Export.bundle' along with the Lame and Quicktime bundles. Without that file there is no access to other export types - AIFF, WAV, etc. The only thing I can come up with re why it didn't install is that I used an updater file to install the program rather than reinstalling from the original CD and then running the update. If you have a copy on a backup, just drag it from there. Otherwise, reinstall should work.

Thanks Chuck S,

You were correct.. The Core Audio Export bundle was not moved from the previous system into the new system after upgrading to Tiger. Once I manually moved it into the Library/Audio/Plugins/Motu Audio.. all is back to normal..
Many thanks to everyone that posted..

Just for the sake of being thorough, MOTU has posted an installer containing core audio, quicktime and LAME exporters for anyone else affected by this problem
