What is the difference between the akai s5000 version and the giga?
are the patches bigger?
I plan to convert this into reason nnxt version is there anyway I can get the giga patches info to see what they layered or what they didn't?
I picked up the Quantum Leap Brass too (for Kurzweil though). That title used to be $400! I'll load it into my K2k and also convert it over to MachFive.
I also picked up the Groove Masters Rhythm.
The Pro Samples titles play well with MachFive, but none of the clearance titles interest me.
I have ordered stuff from them before and its gotten here pretty quickly but this order of quantum leap brass too a little longer I guess cause of the sale but then they sent me an EMU version instead of the akai version. Its no big deal they will send the akai version with a prepackaged bag for me to send them the EMU version back. Pretty cool. anyways I was just wondering if there is any difference in the giga version verses the other versions such as akai, emu, kurzweil. Basically i mean it will be a different language but will the patches and combis be the same? How can I get my akai version converted to giga but with the exact giga voices. I mean all the sample data is the same right? just the fomat and some of the programs and voicings because of ram limits. I have cdxtract but that won't turn it into the exact giga versions with all the programing in it. It will be watered down because it came form the akai.
Huh. I bought the Roland Quantum Leap brass discs and UviX doesn't seem to be able to convert them. Recognizes it as a Roland disc, but keeps not showing any programs, banks or sounds. Anybody got any ideas?
