828 II and CoreAudio problem

I don't know what is happening. Everything was fine until now. I updraded to 10.4.6 on a dual 1.8 G5 few weeks ago. Now when I'm in DP 4.6 or 5.0 everything is fine but if I go audition sounds with QT or "Apercu in french" I don't remember the name of the app. in english,the only thing I get is a very digital high pitch. I have to go in the system pref. for coreAudio then reselect the Motu and then it is fine until I audition something else. This is seriously annoying.

Any clues?

1. Factory reset: Remove the FW cable and push In the setup knob once.
Scroll the setup knob all the way to the right and push in the select
knob once. Next, push in the value knob. The sample rate will flash
indicating the reset has taken place. Reconnect FW cable.

So far ,so good! I've found the solution,the 828 had to be reset.

YES!!

Same problem here. On power up it sometimes freaks out and the lights randomly freak out.

The factory reset worked.
