Traveler 1.07 update

Post by chrono »

As every other company, Motu should contain notes of what's been fixed in every firmware update...

Haven't tried it because it's not available for OS X, only Windows.

Very strange.

I have just tried to install 1.07 - my Traveler is currently 1.05. The updater says the Traveler is not in upgrade state (it is, and the 1.05 updater sees it), and then crashes (the first time I tried it took Windows down with it).

I wondered about using the 1.05 updater with the 1.07 bin file, but I'm not confident that this would be safe.

well i did do the update but dont really know what the firmware fixes. U have to have the cursor knob pressed before u turn the unit on to get it to firmware update state.

I had it in update state (and the 1.05 updater agreed). However, I tried again using my location laptop instead, and it worked as it should...

Traveler Firmware 1.07 has been optimized to minimize overzealous relay clicks.

Very best,

Updater killed my traveler. It isn't responding anymore!

Anyone have this problem?

I was having this problem, too. Finally installed successfully after first installing the 32-bit Firewire drivers and then working with a FAQ from MOTU support pages titled 'Windows does not recognize my Traveler when updating the ROM'.

There was still some funky behavior in the 'verify' step when the install dialogs offered no 'quit' option (after the update was successfully installed).

The 32- bit driver appears to work fine - I'm running Sonar at 2.9 ms latency with the ASIO drivers.

Hope this helps.
