MIDI latency that won't go away

Post by planetkeys »

Hello using a digidesign MIDI i/o with latest DP. the latency is very long. Tried adjusting all buffers, delay compensation on and off, different audio engines, and MIDI mode only. Works fine with pro-tools so digidesign don't really think it is anything to do with them and vice versa with motu. any body experienced this atall. It is only when MIDI tracks are record enabled which would suggest to me buffers but on adjustment to 128 no luck. My laptop with a MIDI sport would work fine at 512 so ma g5 is more than capable. :D any help would be very much appreciated. :P

I just upgrade to Tiger 10.4.3 and the MIDI latency is terrible. I also checked it with ProTools and it's pretty tight; the buffer is the same and I'm running under DAE in both situations. This wasn't a problem under 10.3.8 with 4.61 and USB MIDI 1.32.
