I had the pleasure of owning an 828mk II for 15 months and decided to upgrade today to a Traveler. Upon install and power up - I naturaly decided to try it out. However, I experienced something right away I never had with the Mk II - severe audio drop out when peaking.
With the 828 I was able to hammer hard and then nataurly back it off and away fron the red. However this box simply "drops" audio when I hit hard transiant. I do not seem to have the option to drive hard.
The dealer rep where I purchased seemed to think it may be a question of "soft limiter" that is turned on by default and can be somehow disabled. In any case they have offered to swap out if indeed I have a bad unit.
But before I go that route - anyone heard of this ??
Thanks in Advance
