Automation indicator
I would love DP to make any track or moreover, any paramter that has been automated, glow red, or have a border around it or anything else that would signify there has been automat5ion written.
I don;t know how many times I have tweeked a parameter, only to see it not snap back , thinkin g it was automated..Then, i have to import an old version to see where it was set , re-create that value, lock in automation, and resume work...
It sucks...
Reason paramters had a red border if they have been automated, so do Pro Tools...
This is importnant..whom agrees?

tracks overview window:
MIDI info in play disabled tracks should be gray or opaque. they shouldn't look the same as play enabled tracks (a al vision)
I cannot drag MIDI info left and right and have it constrained to remain on the same tracks, even if i hold down the shift key. "shift" should contrain it's movements to left/right, keep it on the same tracks.

This is from Photoshop.
Control+tab.
When you have a lot of windows open is cycles through them, and each time you hit the tab button a different window comes to the front. Great if you don't have a large monitor!

Thanks, I'll let you know if it's what I was looking for (Isn't that a U2 quote?). I'm not at my workstation right now so I'll have to check it out latter tonight.Isn't this what "~ cmd" does? Or do you mean something else?

gdw3 wrote:Yep. "Command-~". That's actually a Mac convention. Works in any program w/ multiple windows open. BTW, "Command-w" closes the active individual window, which I also like when trying to clean up my screen.[/b]
Wow! All these years and I never new. Girl Scouts cookies for everyone!Resonant Alien wrote:

I would like to see a customizable Control Panel (from small to big). I would like to have the ability to get completely rid of beat measure related vertical lines in the Sequence Editor (so you could have a fully "clean" sheet like in ProTools). I would really really like to be able to adjust the function of the Cursor, so that you could choose either to let it run freely (as it does now) or to let it have the same start position everytime you stop playing (so that it jumps back) until you check somewhere else in the time ruler (like in ProTools) - I can't be the only one who is constantly annoyed by not being able to hear something 10-20 times in a row (for the matter of accuracy) by instantly pressing the spacebar (without setting up markers)?
- And I would like not to have a problem with DP when the OS (10.4.5) runs in my native language, danish (in 10.3.9 MOTU told me it's "an OS issue", but this seems highly unlikely as the same problems, contrary to what they told me at MOTU, still occur under Tiger when the OS-language isn't set to english), why should it? If they really wan't to sell this app in Europe they probably should start thinking of Apple OS running in more than 20 different languages!

I don't know about the language problems, but the others you name may be addressable just by reading the manual. Ruler/grid formats are customizable under the Setup Menu--->Time Formats.mouritzen wrote:I would like to see a customizable Control Panel (from small to big). The Control Panel does have 5 sizes, depending on how many panels you unfold for display. You can always cover it up entirely with other windows and just use the keypad for most of its functions, and you can open up the large counter window for such occasions.
Auto Rewind is indeed a feature of DP, easily accessible from the Control Panel.
It's not unusual at all to find that a large number of people's requests for DP are already features, if they would just read about it in the manual.
