Got it!
Last night I tried out the new PCIe card in my g5 dual core 2.3.
So far, so good. Haven't put it through any big test yet. I'm no techie so I won't be able to say anything other than it works or there's a problem.
So far I did find one bug in the PCIe console software. It's minor but still needs to be fixed. When you click on the button to rename the ins and outs you get a double colums of adat ins and out. You click on the right column to change the name. In my case I want to change it to d8b out 1 etc. When you double click the place to change, it's VERY slow to react. Also, I thought I would save time by copying and pasting instead of retyping d8b out (or in) over and over.
Instead of copying the entry I made, when I tried to paste it in the next spot, I got something from a previous copy. It was a lot of text and the program took long to execute the delete. Then I was left with an empty slot (no text at all) and could no longer get access to the slot at all.
Minor annoyance. Most people probably don't even use this feature.
