Customized patchlists (xml)

Post by studio16 »

Hi,

I notice that in OSX, the patchlists seem to be in an XML format. I also notice that the patchlist support seems to be much greater than DP3, the last version I was using. Is anyone aware of a converter that might take a pre-OS X patchlist and get it in a format for OS X?

I'm using a Roland JV-1010. There is patchlist for it. But at one point I created my own patchlist in which I grouped all the patches by instrument group. It makes it much easier to find the sounds you're looking for.

So I thought I'd throw this out there before I weigh sticking with the installed JV-1010 patchlist vs. converting my other one by hand.

Thanks! 8)

I had a few problems with the JV1010 getting it to be recognised for patch changes, and then to get all the banks recognised including the Orchestra card. I think I used Cherry picker in the end - if you need any help I may be able to talk you through it including adding the Session card and other cards to the list.

I have also devised a Sys Ex message to change the JV1010 to the performance patch I use - on power off the performance has usually defaulted to 001 so I need to change that everytime I use this module.
