I've got both machines. I've been waiting for the PCIe cards so I can use the dual core with DP. My older G5 I use for video.
My question is this: Instead of waiting should I use the new G5 for video and upgrade my PCI card (from my G4) to use in the old G5? Will there be much of a speed difference? I know the old G5 makes some noise when the fan kicks in, but that's only once in a while.
Should I upgrade the dual or wait for the PCIe for my dual core?
