MOTU 828mkII inputs impedance

Post by alexidoia »

Hi there,
I am building myself a mixer and I need to know what impedance is expected by the inputs of the 828.
Anyone ?
Thanks

I don't have the spec in front of me, but do recall that they are all balanced (TRS) inputs. The two front-panel inputs are slightly different in that they switch internally based on TRS vs. TS jack.

Thanks

You'll have better luck posting this in the Hardware forum.

Sorry; didn't realise you needed exact impedance vs. ballpark figure (which can be inferred from balanced vs. unbalanced). If MOTU doesn't publish that in the manual (mine is at home), it might be a little tough to hunt down. Except maybe someone in the hardware forum has measuring devices at home that they've used to get the exact specs. MOTU also doesn't tend to publish performance specs of their equipment. I have mixed feelings about that, since the most commonly published performance specs aren't always all that informative, except for weeding out the total amateur equipment.
