Questions about Firewire Quicktime playback

Post by computo »

So I own DP 4.12, and Im wondering if it has the same Firewire support for Quicktime playback as 4.6.

I dont own any firewire or dv devices, but I might get one if it works with DP4.

Also, do you even need a dv device if you are using a Powerbook?
They already have composite outputs, so it seems asinine to require the dv device in addition.

Thanks,

DP has been doing firewire DV playback for me since 3.11, so I can't imagine your version wouldn't have it.

By the way, the composite outputs will give you the whole computer monitor screen, not just the DV movie.
