can't import a slotools session directly. you either need to say as an OMF (horrid business) or merge all the audio in each track of protools and export as sd2's.

you export the audio portion as omf, then export the MIDI from pt separately. omf does not include the MIDI, but after two imports you're set.

How do I import the omf and the MIDI file from Pro Tools into DP ? I can only mange to open one or the other and not together. It doesn't seem to let me open both.

never done it, but i would imagine:

1) open the OMF file in DP
2) then, in this DP file, go to Load in the file menu, and select the sequence which you've just saved the MIDI in. This will then appear as a separate sequence in your DP file. then just copy and paste it into the main sequence.

Does that make sense. long-winded explanation or what??! :o

I can open the omf file fine but it won't let me open the MIDI file (I saved it as a type 1 multi track .mid file) even if I try to do it using Load, it's greyed out and not an option. any other ideas?

make sure you save the dp file first, after opening the OMF file, before you try to do anythinbg else.

other than that, i'm right out of ideas - sorry, dude
