Per the subject line, I guess this is a DP feature request. It's a little weird that the request comes in the form of a lengthy, ProTools tutorial, but I get the point.
I'm dividing my time between DP and ProTools, these days, and there's a whole host of features, target window among them, I'd love to see imported…in both directions! Of course DAWs all borrow from one another. I've always wondered where the line is between adding a similar feature, and outright stealing one.
IMO first on my list, by far, of PT features I'd like to see in DP is the PT's Clip Gain flexibility. When working in ProTools, I spend most of my time adjusting clip gain, snd clip effects. I'll spare the MN users a tutorial, but suffice to say, it's extremely sophisticated compared to what we have in DP.
....among the DP features I'd like to see in PT is the I/O flexibility. Even to PT veterans the I/O scheme can be confusing and convoluted. The most difficult aspect for me is that PT's i/o config window can't remain open - the rest of the program is frozen until you close the i/o window. I'm currently working on a sound installation project that requires extensive creative bussing. I wouldn't think of trying it in PT.
Target Window for plugins. - a request.

Might have been helpful to start with a definition of a target window.

This original post was quite perplexing. The name of the author quoted, who wrote the .pdfs, was legit, but I don’t think that person was the author of the original post.James Steele wrote: ↑Sat May 03, 2025 6:04 pm
