Dreamtronics Synthesizer V (sale price?)

Post by stubbsonic »

Synthesizer V, version 2 just dropped. It takes the concept of virtual singer to a new level of detailed control. The VI itself is about 100 bucks, and the voices are $80 each, currently on sale for $70 each through Apr 20, 2025. There are five voices to choose from.

https://dreamtonics.com/synthesizerv/

The demo vids often feature a hilariously fast vibrato which is surprising because they've otherwise paid pretty careful attention to detail.

I'm tempted to buy this (totally an impulse buy) only because there is so much potential to push the envelope of strange vocalizations-- or throw together a reference/scratch vocal in a pinch. I actually think this could make a final vocal track-- for some kinds of projects, but I don't really know.

IK Multimedia & Humble Bundle insane deal!! (through May 9, 2025)

Post by stubbsonic »

There are a bunch of titles in this bundle that I've been wanting, and NOW is the time. The price(s) are a steal, and Humble Bundle supports charities. Win win.

I hope you don't mind that I've pasted an affiliate link from another synth forum (synth anatomy) that I really like that I want to help support-- since that's where I saw this first.

https://humblebundleinc.sjv.io/o4oOeb

UPDATE: I just finished jumping through the hoops. I hadn't connected with IK for a while, and had to "refresh" my credentials, and install their software manager application. Everything went fairly smoothly. I like that the software manager now has all the authorized titles, but I only need to download and install whichever ones I want/need.

Quick note about Humble

Post by stubbsonic »

Just a heads up that after my purchase, Humble Bundles started sending a bunch of emails, so I had to take an extra step to update my email preferences and was able to uncheck a bunch of categories. Hopefully, that'll make it more sane. If not, I can unsubscribe completely.

IKM Total Studio Max $129 and other deals

Post by mikehalloran »

The Humble Bumble offer above is great. Everything in it is included in Total Studio Max except the two PianoVerse libraries ($99 ea or $199 for all nine).

But... the 5 bundles on this page are not upgrade prices:

https://www.ikmultimedia.com/news/index.php?N=promos

The big bargain is Total Studio 4 MAX, only $€129.99 as it includes most of the others as you can see here:

https://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/ts4/

Note that it includes T-Racks 5 Max but not the new T-Racks 6.

The other big bargain, IMO, is that all nine piano VIs are included in Pianoverse Max at $99.99

https://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/p ... php?p=info

My wife's favorite VI is the Alan Parsons Imperial Grand a sample library of Mark Knopfler's Bösendorfer 290. It's part of the Total Studio 4 bundles. While I really like it—and it got us through lockdown—I'm hearing it way too often nowadays.

Thanks for the heads up. I'd forgotten that I owned a few of their plugs besides 32Lives. Looking at Auto-Align 2 and Auto-Align Post 2.
