Good morning,
I really need some help…
I own a Power Mac running macOS 10.14 Mojave, with DP 11.22 as my DAW, and two PCIe-424 cards connected to eight HD192 interfaces, which are then routed into an analog mixer.
Now, since this system can’t run on Ventura, I got a new computer, installed Ventura on it, and thought about getting a MADI interface to connect to the new computer, and another MADI interface to connect to the old one (compatible with macOS 10.14). The idea is to link the two systems, put the Mojave Mac in slave mode with armed tracks, and use the entire old setup with the HD192 converters — which I’ve upgraded with new op-amps and D/A converters — in the studio.
What do you think? Which MADI interface would be compatible with the PCIe-424 cards in the old computer?
Thanks for your help,
Pipoalvarez
Motu 112D, M64 or RME MADIface USB?

Probably any of them.pipoalvarez wrote: ↑Fri Apr 25, 2025 2:17 am Good morning,

Good luck finding an M64, however. Although MOTU lists it as current going back to macOS 10.8, none have shipped for a couple years and I am not finding a used one anywhere, let alone two. Even if MOTU updates this (they might) it's highly unlikely that a new one would be compatible with Mojave.

Re: Motu 112D, M64 or RME MADIface USB?
First of all, thank you very much for your reply, for your help...
I think it's a real shame that there are no more M64s in the market... it's probably due to the fact that Motu wants to push its own AVB protocol...
Let's hope it works with the RMA... I don't know
Thank you
