Mike, I would certainly appreciate a step-by-step if you don’t mind. Hoping to save this MTP if I can.

Seems like there's no reason why you shouldn't be able to since both Mike and I are able to use MTP/AV in Sequoia. Again, I would imagine this is all contingent on you having the latest USB and MTP ROM chips on board? But I don't think it would have worked right before if you didn't.
