Snapping options are all disabled.

Post by wwzeitler »

All my snap options are disabled.

My track view has the focus. The Grid options at the top right-ish (near the 'G') are all disabled. I have the Snap Information window open and every snap option is also disabled (except Nudge). In View | Grid, everything is enabled: edit lines, edit lines while snapping, marker lines, beat lines. Restarting DP doesn't help. How do I get snapping back?

Thanks!

When you say they are disabled, do you mean that they are "Greyed out" or that they are unchecked.

If they are greyed out, make sure you are in a context where the grid setting is appropriate.

The Snap Information will be come active when you have the Sequence Editor window open.

I've never seen the "G" in the MIDI Editor greyed out, so I can begin to explain why that looks that way.

If they are simply unchecked, just click on the box to check/enable.

Hmm, they're enabled in Sequence view. Switch to Track view and they're all disabled/greyed out. That must be by design — for a reason beyond my newbie paygrade. But at least I know what to do! (Switch to Sequence view!)
