tracks disappeared in Tracks tab - RESOLVED

Post by Jim »

I've been working on this project for a few hours. All of a sudden 3 of 11 VI tracks disappeared in my Tracks Tab (The were in a folder together). So did all my Audio tracks (all in one folder) and all my AUX & Master tracks (all in one folder).

I can see all my tracks in the Sequence Tab.

I can see there are tracks in the Tracks Tab when I close the disclosure triangle for the folder.

I have my View Setting set to All.

I can hear my tracks, because as I mentioned, I can see them in the Sequence and Mixer tabs.

When the Tracks Tab is active, I can only see the visible tracks in the Track Selector.

I did the New Project, Load Sequence trick, and it loaded the Sequence with the missing tracks.

I can't figure out what I did. Any ideas?

One more thing: I can see all my Tracks while the project is loading and the color ball is spinning, but as soon as it's loaded, tracks disappear.

These show the folder for my drum Tracks. With the disclosure triangle pointing right, you can see the folder holds several tracks. With the triangle pointing down, the area to the right is blank, as expected, but there are no tracks showing that are in the folder.

I opened the Project on my other computer, and the tracks are missing there, too. I think that rules out an OS issue.

I reinstalled DP. No help.

If I Add Instrument Track or use Add Similar Track, they show up in the Mixer Tab, but not the Tracks Tab.

I can play my Sequence and hear all tracks, but when I Bounce with the Tracks tab active, only the tracks visible in the Tracks Tab are rendered to disk. If I Bounce with the Sequence Tab active, and all tracks selected, the Bounce that results has all tracks.

Are the missing tracks highlighted in the show/hide column specific to the Tracks pane?

Do you have a space or invisible character in the Search field?

Apparently, I had a space. You must have noticed the X in the Search field. GENIUS!

I don't think I've used the Search function, ever (consciously).

Clicking the X brought my tracks back into view.

Thanks so much, cuttime.

SOLVED!
