My computer environment is
MacPro 2013
Xeon
MacOS:Monterey

I am gradually learning how this phenomenon occurs and how to avoid it.

In my environment, this happens 100% of the time when I add the “Control Surface” driver. I have a KONPLETE KONTROL M32, so I had to add a driver for it in the “Control Surface Settings”. If I add two or more tracks, the ClipWindow does not open and the rainbow circle appears.

However, if all Control Surfaces are removed, this phenomenon is 100% avoided and ClipWindow will start normally even if many tracks are added.

If Control Surfaces are added again, ClipWindow will not start. This is the appearance of the Rainbow Circle.

I would be grateful if you all could try this workaround to see if this happens only in my environment.

You started a Tech Link for this right? Apparently my issue with Techlinks is due to the Apple Silicon Macs and some security issue with their website.
M2 Studio Ultra, RME Babyface FS, Slate Raven Mti2, NI SL88 MKII, Linnstrument, MPC Live II, Launchpad MK3. Hundreds of plug ins.

It crashes if I load a project with more than one track, and it crashes when I add more than one track to any otherwise empty project. I'm on a mid 2012 Mac Pro 5,1, btw.
I am experiencing the same phenomenon. My Mac is a MacPro 2013. No apple silicone involved, MacOS is 12.7 (Monterey).

Do you have Contol Surfaces set up in DP? Have you added the driver? Try deleting all of those Control Surfaces settings.
You can still have MIDI devices connected. Anyway, try deactivating the Control Surfaces setting.
In my case, that worked around the problem.
