Relab REV6000 Essential Installer?

Post by James Steele »

Anybody have an installer for Relab REV6000 Essential?

Reason: I bought the darned thing tonight and nowhere in the purchase process do I recall being asked to create a password for my Relab account created during the purchase.

So I get an email for my purchase with a link to "Manage my account" and click it and I'm in my user area, but nothing in the email I was sent tells me what my default password is. So I decide to "Log Out" and just use the "Forgot my password" link to get an email to reset (and thus create) a password.

Well... that's going on maybe a half hour or more ago... I sent a ticket to support... so I'm sitting here with the license already on my iLok, but unable to get into my user area to download what I paid for until whenever someone at Relab sees my ticket. Who knows? Maybe there's some issue with their password reset emails not going out. I don't think it's being marked as spam. I got all their other email.

Frustrating.

Oh... I should mentioned that when I filled out a support ticket, this was the pop up menu to choose the DAW you use:

Not even the one we’ve grown accustomed to: “Other…”

So I had to choose Pro Tools and then put “supplemental information” in the DAW Version field:

Sigh…. Oops... there’s a typo. Uh oh. Now I’ve done it! Watch them add Digitial Performer as a choice to their support form.

Digital Performer: The "Rodney Dangerfield" of DAWs. It gets no respect... ya know what I mean? No respect!

Woohoo! Got it! Someone sent me the installer. I didn't think it was bad asking for it since it's worthless unless you have an iLok license (which I do).

That said... I should have listened to the demo first. Even for $29, I'm underwhelmed. I was hoping this might just be something quick and easy with a good sound. Don't care for it at all... that's just me.
