BMI is not accessible [RESOLVED]

Post by dix »

Is anyone else having trouble accessing their BMI accounts? The last few years they've, annoyingly, required members to change their password every few weeks, but now the form to create a new password no longer works for me. I've tried Chrome and Safari on two different computers, but the forms just hang. I filled out help-forms twice and received no reply.

As BMI members know the company is no longer a nonprofit, and is privately owned. I'm hoping this isn't a preview of what we can expect in the future.

Actually, it was user error combined with poor web form design. I must have been trying to reset my password with a "recent password" which is unacceptable. ....but the form gave no indication that there was a problem with the password. It just hung. Once I tried an entirely different password I was able to access.

Pro Tip: You can use a common sentence as a password on BMI's site now. So, "BMI's website is over designed and awkward" could be a password.
