James Steele wrote: Fri Jun 21, 2024 3:10 pm You know, I'm not sure if it's applicable, but I remember when I used to take clean B3 type sounds, etc, and run a MOTU plugin after it to give it some dirt. I want to say it was PreAmp-1, but I just opened it up to take a look, and it doesn't look like the plugin I remember. For some reason I thought the GUI had a little representation of a tube or a circle and as you increased the drive it was reflected in the GUI? Strange.
James, click on the little grey box to the right of the word "MOTU" (lower right-hand corner of PreAmp-1).
Ha! Well what do you know!! Thanks! It's been so long since I used it. I remember using this once behind a rather tame, clean B3 instrument to put some dirt on it that I couldn't get otherwise. It's really easy to overlook some of the stock DP plugins, but many are pretty useful!

LFO Audio Ambient Dream Pads $15

LFO Audio Ambient Dream Pads $15

I'm such a sucker for Pad instruments. Probably because I'm a sucky keyboard player, so anything designed for slow tempos is good for me! LOL. But hey $15... what the heck...

Celemony's June Melodyne upgrade sale has been mentioned here earlier, but wanted to note that the sale ends today (6/30). My upgrade from Editor to Studio was $99 (usually $349!). Upgrades between all Melodyne tiers are similarly discounted.

UADx Native Pultec Passive EQ Collection - FREE with COUPON. ACT FAST!

This one looks like a "glitch." It was reported on another forum. I guess there was a code given out if you signed up for a LoopCloud subscription and someone posted it. I tested it and it worked, but didn't get it since I already owned it.

Go here: https://www.pluginboutique.com/products ... oic00c9zwM

Use coupon code uiiibghd at checkout.

I'd do it right away. I imagine this code may be invalidated pretty soon.

Ozone 11 Elements for FREE at Sweetwater!

Ozone 11 Elements for FREE at Sweetwater!

Heck... I have the full Ozone 11, but I might try to get a license for this one, because I have Ozone 9 Elements and as I recall the CPU hit on Elements was lighter than the full version.

(Be forewarned... they require your name and address and email to send you the link.)

Well, FYI it doesn't appear to let you access advanced controls and I found the CPU savings was negligible on Apple Silicon. It might be worth it on Intel systems, however.

The full version of Ozone 11 hovered around 29-30% on my M1 Max Mac Studio:

Ozone 11 Elements only got me about 3% CPU back:

By comparison... what is really dramatic is the lower CPU hit of Ozone 9 Elements. It was changing places in the order of plugs, but you can see it was 4.75%!! I think I may start using this exclusively until I'm truly at the mixing phase of a project.

ATMOS Composer on sale

Post by BKK-OZ »

(I think?) Atmos Composer is the only plugin claiming Dolby Atmos compatibility with DP.
Happy to be corrected on that.

Currently on sale, reduced from €/$249 to €/$149.
I am not sure how long this intro sale will last, couldn’t see that info.

https://fiedler-audio.com/dolby-atmos-composer/

I have not tried their demo, or their freebie version ‘Essential’.

Cheers,
BK

…string theory says that all subatomic particles of the universe are nothing but musical notes. A, B-flat, C-sharp, correspond to electrons, neutrinos, quarks, and what have you. Therefore, physics is nothing but the laws of harmony of these strings. Chemistry is nothing but the melodies we can play on these strings. The universe is a symphony of strings and the mind of God… it is cosmic music resonating through 11 dimensional hyperspace.

Techivation T-De-Esser 2 - FREE

Post by James Steele »

Techivation T-De-Esser 2 - FREE

Just got this in my email:
Dear Techivation user,

We are thrilled to introduce our latest plugin, the Techivation
T-De-Esser 2— It is FREE!

In July 2021, we released our first audio plugin, the T-De-Esser, which quickly became a favourite among many professionals. To celebrate the third anniversary of the T-De-Esser and Techivation’s entry into the audio software world, we are excited to offer you our brand new T-De-Esser 2 plugin.

T-De-Esser 2 addresses harshness and sibilance issues even more naturally and musically than the T-De-Esser. It enhances the overall mix in a gentle, pleasing manner and can be used on individual tracks, group tracks, or the master buss without causing undesirable effects or artefacts.

The entire DSP algorithm in the T-De-Esser 2 has been upgraded, and it is equipped with additional features. The plugin also boasts the brand-new MK2 user interface from our T series, enhancing workflow and making it more user-friendly.
You can get it here:

Impact Soundwork/Red Room Audio merger update

Post by cuttime »

RRA+ISW. Anyone who has an RRA Palette product is entitled to the entire ISW Palette library upgrade. All owners of RRA products were supposed to get an email showing an upgrade path. This didn't happen for me and it took about two weeks with CS to work it out, but, damn, it was worth it! Check your accounts!
