Audio comes out after 20s of playing silence

Post by nickysnd »

I have 3 MIDI tracks routed into EW Play instruments. The instruments only come in after 20s of playing silence. For example, if I start playing at the second 15, I begin hearing it at second 35. I have moved the whole sequence 20 seconds, I play from 0:00, and after 20s of silence I can hear it from the beginning. But that's not a solution. I have full licenses on everything, so it's not a "protection" thing.

This is very strange. Is there a DP setting that does that?

Could it be a plug-in issue? If any have "look ahead" functionality, then yes though I've never experienced a 20 second delay. Otherwise, take a look at this thread and see if there's any insight.

That is strange. Unrelated probably, but your sig says you're on Sonoma 14.4.1? I might suggest going to Sonoma 14.5. It's been pretty good to me and I think it fixed a few things as well.

Does this happen with every project or just a specific one?

You might consider reaching out to MOTU.com tech support on this strange one.

Are you synching to tap tempo or an external time code source? That's the only time I've ever had that long of a delay with audio playback.
