MX4 not remembering controller mapping after re-opening song

MX4 not remembering controller mapping after re-opening song
I have controller #7 data in its own track, and unless I right-click the volume slider and select "learn controller mapping" MX4 volume does not get controlled by that track. Everything works fine when I select "learn controller mapping" however when I close the song and re-open it, I have to select "learn controller mapping" again. I've even clicked the "Save" button on MX4 to see if that did anything. It doesn't seem to save the controller mapping. I'm in DP10. What am I missing? Thanks.
